Midwest Snips®
Aviation Snips Offer Stronger
Blades And More Handle Comfort |
Sturgis Michigan, September 2, 2003 -- Midwest Tool And
Cutlery Company, announces a number of improvements to their
Midwest Snips® brand aviation snips. All models feature hot
drop-forged steel blades with added strength. Said to be virtually
unbreakable in normal use, the stronger blades are the result
of extensive research and testing involving material flow and
die design by metallurgical and forge industry experts.
The handles of Midwest Snips® aviation snips are now more ergonomic
in design. They open to an optimum 5-1/2 inches for faster,
easier gripping. In addition, softer copolymer handle grips
provide more comfort for hands, especially during extended periods
of use. The grips contain no PVC and are recyclable.
The center pivot bolt on Midwest Snips® offset model aviation
snips now feature a Torx® head. This makes blade readjustment
easier, if ever needed, extending the cutting life of the snips.
Plus, the center pivot bolt is threaded into the bottom blade
to keep blades in adjustment longer, a feature unique to all
models of Midwest Snips® aviation snips.

The result of these improvements was demonstrated in tests
at an independent laboratory. Midwest Snips® aviation
snips required less hand pressure for cutting than competitor
models. Midwest Snips® aviation snips exceed all ASME
Industrial Standards for quality and are made in the U.S.A.
